We recommend you book ahead to avoid disappointment. To help you plan your West Coast itinerary, we can advise you of driving times and distances and how much time to allow for visiting Glacier Country.
Our base in Whataroa Valley, West Coast, South Island, is just 70 minutes south of Hokitika and 25 minutes north of Franz Josef Glacier on SH6. Turn off at the southern end of the Whataroa River bridge (well signposted). You may call free within New Zealand to ask directions, if necessary – Freephone 0800 423 463.

Let us know your preferred departure dates by phone, email or at our Flight Information Centre. We’ll let you know availability, departure times, ensure you’re getting great value and reserve your seat. Payment is taken at the heli-pad location on the day of your flight.

Sometimes low cloud restricts scenic flights from Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier townships, but our base in Whataroa Valley is more often quite clear for alpine scenic flights.
